Position Overview
AYCE is seeking a full-time Senior Transportation Engineer to support and collaborate with our Principals on a variety of highway and roadway design engineering projects. This role is ideal for a motivated professional ready to transition from Project Engineer to Project Manager, gaining increased responsibility in design, coordination, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Principals in the delivery of transportation projects
• Perform roadway design using MicroStation/InRoads and Civil 3D
• Prepare civil engineering calculations (grading, drainage, paving, geometrics, utilities)
• Develop sketches, technical evaluations, and design alternatives
• Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients
• Review plans from vendors, architects, and other engineers; recommend revisions
• Research codes, standards, and regulatory requirements; coordinate with City, State, and County agencies
• Document design decisions and technical findings
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Minimum 4+ years of roadway design experience
• Proficiency in MicroStation/InRoads and Civil 3D
• Experience with Caltrans, FHWA and AASHTO standards preferred
• Strong analytical skills and ability to perform engineering calculations
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Position Overview
AYCE is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Civil Engineer with an emphasis in transportation engineering. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in roadway design, project delivery, and multidisciplinary coordination.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team-oriented, and technically curious, with a solid foundation in engineering principles and design software.
Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (transportation emphasis preferred)

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within one year

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D

Exposure to MicroStation/InRoads is a plus
